In this quirky and charming comedy, Sophie, an out-of-work actress who has no idea what she's doing with her life, moves back in with her parents. When the city council threatens to shut down the community theater, she directs a production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s opera “The Mikado” to try and save it. Can she lead a ragtag group of small town misfits to glory and become the person she was always meant to be? Based on writer/director Joyce Wu's own woeful but hilarious experiences, this debut future is fun, satisfying, and surprisingly poignant.
