Rotten: Mr. Chan has done these unlikely-buddy yarns before, of course - "Shanghai Noon," the "Rush Hour" movies - and sometimes has made the conceit work, but this incarnation lacks originality and spark.
Fresh: Glossy, colorful, and forgettable, "Skiptrace" is the kind of movie that gives you your money's worth in sheer eager-to-please entertainment even as you roll eyes at the nth kick-to-the-crotch gag.
Rotten: All the principals are plenty capable, but this is hardly any of these folks' peak.
Rotten: Skiptrace is a movie made to serve a number of competing interests and markets, and in trying to offer the proverbial something for everybody, it ends up possessing a very limited appeal.
Not Jackie Chan's greatest film but it's still really good. Kind of struck me as being a little low budget though but I only watch it for Jackie Chan anyway. Was never a big fan of Johnny Knoxville but he did good in it. Also there's a lot of cute Chinese ladies in it even the Russian lady was cute. If you're a Jackie Chan fan you'll like this.
Skip Trace- an excellent movie
What a great family movie. It was thrilling, funny, exciting, family friendly, and great cinematography. The dialogue was healthy, the family loyalty and honor lessons made it great for the kids. Highly recommend this one.
Couldn't get through it!
I love Jackie Chan and will watch any of his movies just for his stunts. Unfortunately I just couldn't keep watching it....it was bad! As to whether it got better I'll never know.
