Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: It's been a long time since I enjoyed a Bond movie so much. – Tom Charity,, Jan 4, 2013

Fresh: It achieves an effective balance between the ever-escalating action sequences that each successive Bond picture apparently demands, fresh use of charismatic talent, and nods to the legacy – John Wildman, Film Comment Magazine, Oct 5, 2015

Fresh: Mendes's breezily, imaginatively directed film shows faith in the thrill of the real -- not the weightless dazzle of CGI but the feeling of actual objects (bikes, cars, Tube trains) crashing and colliding in a solid world. – Jonathan Romney, Independent on Sunday, Oct 5, 2015

Fresh: A Bond film should feature a menacing villain who's also just a touch daffy; Javier Bardem has more fun than anybody else onscreen as a rogue agent with a mommy complex and a come-hither leer. – Matthew Lickona, San Diego Reader, Oct 5, 2015

Don't know how you can still hate Craig after this.

He captures enough of the debonaire attitude while maintaining the coldness of Fleming's own Bond as he had done in the first two films. I can understand the distaste for Quantum, it was not made to be a standalone film, and suffers as it is part of a franchise comprised of standalone stories. Skyfall however has the scale of a true Bond film, the power to standalone, and the villain to keep Bond at his wit's end throughout its entire runtime. The epilogue even bodes well for its successors and I'm glad to hear Craig will stay on for at least two more films.

Best Bond movie since Goldeneye

I grew up in the 90s and like many then, I had Goldeneye on N64. Later became the first Bond movie I saw. It's really hard but I kinda accept the fact that Skyfall is as good if not better. It's worth buying!!

1. Skyfall
2. Goldeneye
3. Octopussy
4. Quantum of Solace
5. Casino Royale

Great Movie!

This is one of the all time greats!
