About the Movie

Sex, drugs, clubs? High school guidance counselor Jeff (The Mindy Project's Adam Pally) and his co-worker and best friend Anne (Enlightened's Sarah Burns) are anything but cool. Their terminally unhip ways (he's in an all-male book club, she's diagnosed by her doctor as "clinically abstinent") have left them perpetually single. Tired of being alone, they vow to shed their nerdy ways and find love during one wild summer of drinking, partying, and (hopefully) getting lucky. But when you go from dyed-in-the-wool dork to cool and confident overnight, things are bound to go awry... Reid Scott (Veep), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), and Kate Flannery (The Office) co-star.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Only a few scenes fail to draw laughs in a movie that's unexpectedly smart and consistently amusing. – Daniel M. Gold, New York Times, Aug 18, 2015

Rotten: A satirical romantic comedy that gets mixed grades in the laughter department. – Michael Rechtshaffen, Los Angeles Times, Sep 3, 2015

Fresh: Even if this movie isn't fresh, it's often amusing. – Eddie Goldberger, New York Daily News, Aug 19, 2015

Fresh: The film's brisk energy, witty visuals and sharp supporting cast (including Kevin Dunn and "Saturday Night Live's" Bobby Moynihan) together push an appealing but thin story idea over the finish line. – Tom Keogh, Seattle Times, Sep 10, 2015

Pretty Good

There were a few slow parts, but I enjoyed most of the movie. It was refreshingly original in a mass appeal kind of way, not hipster, like a lot of original movies seem to be lately.

It looses it’s way toward the end, but not too badly. But overall this movie is funny as hell. Sarah Burns rocks!

Do you miss rom-com's that are sweet but not cloying? Watch this. It's funny and has great actors doing lowkey in a smart way. It's like a sitcom on Hulu or FX, which is a compliment.
