Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: For the cast, shooting the movie (in Ukraine) may have been a working vacation, but for viewers, watching it is an excruciating sentence of hard labor.
Rotten: Korostyshevsky doesn't waste a lot of time getting from run-jump-shoot to duck-roll-cover and back again; the artillery decibel level isn't matched by any notable level of filmmaking craft or excitement.
Rotten: A talented cast is wasted in this sub-par, umpteenth variation on The Dirty Dozen.
Every Action Movie Cliche' In One Movie
Wow…um…Christian Slater, I hope you at least got money to pay for rent by doing this film. The other actors that have done great work in other films such as Ving Rhames, Sean Bean, James Cromwell, Colm Meanie…I guess they just had fun, or needed some gas money, because this movie is like…boring. Spoiler Alert: Loner type rogue soldier gets hired by some sad story to take on worthless dictator, who has a lackey that betrayed everyone working for him that is the actual nemesis for the "hero". Loss of best friend, loss of lost cause sponsor, help the extras in the film, kill bad guys…sad story becomes happy ending…the end.
