Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: It's all kind of cute. Maybe a little too cute, but it does have a nice circle-of-life ending. – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, Mar 28, 2013

Rotten: If nonchalance were an Olympic sport, Max would be a gold medalist, and watching Somebody Up There Likes Me is about as much fun as being a spectator at that event might sound. – Peter Debruge, Variety, Mar 14, 2013

Fresh: Words such as offbeat, charming or, Lord help us, quirky are wildly overused and yet this is exactly the kind of film to which they best apply. – Mark Olsen, Los Angeles Times, Mar 14, 2013

Fresh: Highly original and delightfully unorthodox. – Stephen Dalton, Hollywood Reporter, Mar 8, 2013

i'm Somebody that Likes this movie!

Subtlety, subtlety, subtlety. I'm going to have to watch this a couple more times before I actually see all the little comedic gems. Hilariously understated and I can't wait to see what this Bob with come up with next.
Watch this movie! Only 70 minutes!!!!

This is a fantastic tragic comedy. Unpredictable, funny, and it made me incredibly uncomfortable dozens of times, which is what I like. It's a great film that takes you on an uncomfortable tour of a train wreck.

Don't Bother

Well, there goes one hour and fifteen minutes of my life I'll never get back. If I could give it zero stars I would, but apparently I have to give it at least one.
