About the Movie
In this low-key jewel of a movie, newcomer Ashley Shelton delivers a stirring performance as Peggy, a seemingly typical Southern newlywed on the path to a perfect career, home, and family. But when a tragedy shatters her plans for domestic bliss, Peggy spins away from her husband and career and gradually transforms into a spiritual seeker, quietly threatening the closest relationships around her. With his debut feature, award-winning writer/director Paul Harrill reveals a unique directorial sensibility and delivers a refreshing story of human transformation.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Modestly presented but emotionally ambitious - and with a lovely, low-key performance from Ms. Shelton - this immersive first feature gently reveals the void of an adulthood on autopilot.
Fresh: A delicate study of a young woman extricating herself from the trappings of an outwardly successful life, "Something, Anything" marks a quietly assured feature debut for writer-director Paul Harrill.
Fresh: A perspicacious examining of intimate moments, Paul Harrill's Something, Anything artfully circumnavigates narrative expectations in the manner of only the most thoughtful stories.
Fresh: The kind of movie you feel protective of even as you are watching it. Its rhythms and inflections are so subtle, it almost comes as a surprise just how compelling they ultimately become.
A movie for any woman who's searching.
I saw this movie at a film festival on a big screen and am excited to see it again. This is a very quiet and patient movie. I'm sure some people will hate that about it, but I loved it. By the end it moved me to tears. Also, the actress is amazing.
This is great film with a very strong story and superb acting. I saw it at a film festival last summer, and was thinking about it for many days after. I’m so glad to be able to see it again!
