Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Speed 2 doesn't have much in mind besides convincing an audience that a runaway ocean liner is a dynamic menace. Fine, but it doesn't beat a runaway bus.
Rotten: It's a complete lack of story that explains why this expensive production from the proficient creator of Speed and Twister sputters out on the high seas.
Rotten: The human propensity to tamper with a good thing is probably ineluctable.
Rotten: Speed 2 suffers from a slender script, a tedious first reel and a routine villain who lacks the entertaining menace that Speed's diabolical madman projected.
First of all, anyone who gave this movie more than 2 stars must be seriously hard up for a terrible movie. Second there were a few reviewers who said they liked Keanu Reeves in this. The problem there is that he was not in this one.... Use your brain if you are going to write a review! Finally, this movie was a waste of time, but not totally. It makes really good use of the single star I gave it. I think they must have had some leftover film from the first Speed movie and some extra change from ordering pizza, so they decided to make this winner. A word to the wise, they should have given the pizza guy a bigger tip!
NO NO NO and NO
The movie sucked. First of all you have to have the origional acter to act in the second movie. The movie was bad. I would rather enjoy the posidion adventures better than this movie. DO NOT BUY OR RENT THIS HORIBLE MOVIE!!!!!
All aboard the best action adventure of 2002!
In the wake of the original film this full speed ahead adventure really makes a splash. This is Bullock at her best.
