Customer Reviews

Funny, charming, highly entertaining

They don't tell good stories like this much anymore. I really enjoyed this film. All of the characters are thoughtfully portrayed, no matter how much screen time they have, and you end caring about all of them. Even the crime bosses! There are some great relationships formed...the one between Lenny and the fake Stevie D is really amazing to watch. And the hitmen? Fughedaboudid! They steal the show every time they're on! Stevie D. reminded me of shows I's a little bit like Entourage meets The Sopranos.

Mobster Movie meets rom-com

Surprisingly entertaining. I got a little lost trying to keep up with all the mobsters but, the "Bad Boys" story arc was humorous. Kevin Chapman's character as the super cool fixer was made for him! Stellar job! The rom-com storyline was convincing enough, that I found myself secretly wishing death on Stevie D. Well worth the rent!

The Real Deal

Who or what is for real? This movie is. It's first-class in so many ways. For one, it's a wry commentary on the acting life. For another, it's a witty dig at the LA lifestyle (the west part at least). For another, it's a sharp satire of the mob. It's also a sweet, comic commentary on love and family. Lastly, it's a classic mistaken-identity farce. Watch it, and watch it over again. You'll get more out of it each time you do.
