About the Movie
Suburbicon is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns…the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence. This is a tale of very flawed people making very bad choices. This is Suburbicon.

Rotten: Clooney is too talented a filmmaker not to get in his licks. But this alternately comic and deadly earnest satire of the dark underbelly of 1950s suburbia -the Coen brothers had a hand in the script-is a movie that feels tonally at war with itself.
Rotten: Suburbicon might be the biggest embarrassment to pious Hollywood liberalism since Crash won best picture in 2006.
Rotten: Only occasionally does an image strike a lyrical blow and yield the creepy effect that Clooney is aiming for ...
Rotten: It's A Raisin in the Sun Meets The Donna Reed Show.

Suburbicon
Math Damon makes an incredible performance! I didn’t expect it to be this funny! There was violence, the story line was good, and I love the twist in the plot!
An artsy-fartsy movie
It definitely was a different type of movie. The plot was interesting, as well as the ending. It was a creative piece - not necessarily my cup of tea for this particular evening. However, obviously the movie was well done, so it may be appealing if watched at the right time by the right people.
Pretty bad really
I could get past most of it, but the ending was so bad. Save your $$$
