Rotten: The pressure to save mankind is enormous, and our attention grows as the tension mounts. Light is used in haunting and powerful ways throughout. But as the film ultimately deviates from its course, the entire undertaking suffers. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Mar 28, 2008

Fresh: The picture would be nothing, an incomplete Venn diagram, without Murphy. – Stephanie Zacharek,, Jul 7, 2010

Brilliant and epic

A marvelous film that is bringing back the space opera genre. Visually and conceptually brilliant, the next best sci-fi since Star Wars and 2001: A Space Oddyssey.

Loved it!!!!

Many people may not have heard of this movie because the advertising wasn't as good as it could have been, but it was good nonetheless. I immediately wanted to see the movie because Cillian Murphy is in it and I am a huge fan of his (itunes should really have 28 Days Later). It is about the sun dying and a team of astronauts that are trying to ignite it. I found it exciting and thats surprised me because I've never been much of a sci-fi fan. It is a good blend of action as well as information (the scientifical terms and dialog aren't too overbearing). All in all, I enjoyed this movie and think everyone else would too. it's entertaining and at the same time adresses global issues.

Visually Stunning

One of the best Sci-Fi movies I have ever seen. Definitely the best of 2007. The score is also excellent. Very original story and excellent performances by the entire cast.
