Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Superman, born in 1938, is still very much alive in 2006. The Man of Steel has so skillfully bent the bars of our imagination that he seems real to us. And in a sense, he is.
Fresh: The movie may not be a single-bound building-leaper but Bryan Singer reconfigures the daddy of all comic-book sagas into something knowing, witty, and even sensitive.
Rotten: Strictly for fans on school vacation.
Fresh: While his movie can be cumbersome, it's consistently alive, and that is saying a lot when many such productions are dead in the water, on land or in the air. Also, how can you resist the charm of a fantasy in which everyone gets his news from newspapers?
Not too terrible
I don't know why everybody hates this movie so much. This movie it wasn't that bad. I've seen worse in my lifetime and this movie did have a lot of action. If they could find a way to combine man of steel and this movie, it would be perfect.
If this movie didn't borrow from the first movie, had action, and a better Lois lane. It might be decent. Unfortunately it wasn't. Bryan Singer you sir turned Superman into a Lois &clark episode.
I love superman he's my fav and I loved the movie great job I'm impressed
