Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Slight even by the wafer-thin standards of the wedding rom-com genre, writer-director Jeffrey Blitz's Table 19 offers a couple of mild chuckles, six actors who've all been far better elsewhere, and a mercifully brief running time. – Chris Nashawaty, Entertainment Weekly, Mar 2, 2017

Rotten: This comedy about the random losers stuck together at a wedding reception actually, uncannily, creates an experience as dull, awkward and excruciating as the thing it mocks. – Kyle Smith, New York Post, Mar 2, 2017

Rotten: The film has a clever premise that probably would have worked as a half-hour TV episode but fails to sustain a feature-length comedy. – Leah Pickett, Chicago Reader, Mar 9, 2017

Rotten: "Table 19" is like being stuck at the worst table at a bad wedding. – Adam Graham, Detroit News, Mar 3, 2017

I had to watch it twice

b/c the first go round I was conflicted. Great premise, solid plot & A-list actors saved this movie. But something wasn't quite right.

After the 2nd viewing, I realized that Wyatt Russell's performance wasn't bad acting. It was that his haircut? & facial hair were getting in the way of his expressions. His hair was very distracting, however, he was actually convincing as a hurt jerk once I got past all that bad hair. I vote for a re-make with either:
A) a new do & a shave for Wyatt
B) Justin Long as Kendrick's ex boyfriend

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Amanda Crew & Anna Kendrick together. GIVE ME MOAR. I really hope those two collaborate! And soon!

An Ode to John Hughes

This movie is so real and witty. The perfect casting of misfits. Love this movie!

Not a comedy

Yea, don't waste your time. This shouldn't be classified as a comedy. I don't think I laughed once. The whole thing was actually somber and depressing.

There's one thing worse than saying, "I'll never watch that again.." and it's "I wish I never watched it the first time."
