About the Movie
Michelle Williams plays twenty-eight-year-old Margot, happily married to Lou (Seth Rogen), a good-natured cookbook author. But when Margot meets Daniel (Luke Kirby), a handsome artist who lives across the street, their mutual attraction is undeniable. Swelteringly hot, bright and colorful, Take This Waltz leads us, laughing, through the familiar, but uncharted question of what long-term relationships do to love, sex and our image of ourselves.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Polley (who's been an actress herself) never judges these people she's created. Instead, she depicts the giddy, fleeting and illusory nature of new love, and lets us get caught up in it, too.
Fresh: Polley wonders the same thing in nearly every scene, no matter who's in it. Is a comfortable marriage really marriage enough?
Fresh: At its worst, Polley's style veers toward the cornball. Yet, in the broad outlines of her story, she has clearly created something with a lot of hard truth.
Rotten: Basically pretty humourless, considering that sharp comics Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman are in the cast, clearly doing their level best as actors. But there's no air for them to breathe.
am i alone here?

I never write reviews but....
"Take This Waltz", like any beacon in good storytelling, reminds you, you are not alone. Polley commands this story with the grace of a symphony conductor, allowing all the notes of long-term love to be heard without leaning on clichés or patronizing gimmicks to manipulate her audience. Full, Honest and Satisfyingly Unsatisfiable.
It's Seth RogEn not RogAn!
Edit this stupid mistake in Plot Summary above.
