Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Seems like a nonstop car and foot chase, with Albanian after Albanian falling victim to Bryan's remarkable aim and hand-fighting skills. – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, Oct 4, 2012

Rotten: A meta-American movie, a Godardian spoof of the whole genre, an attempt to see how stupid and insulting a motion picture can be and still be a big hit. – Andrew O'Hehir,, Oct 7, 2012

Rotten: "Taken 2" is nearly all nonsense, with villains so inept and slow-moving that there's little satisfaction in watching Mills take them out. – Rafer Guzman, Newsday, Oct 5, 2012

Rotten: There doesn't seem to be a whole lot at stake in a movie where you can crash your way through the armed barricades at the American embassy with a stolen taxicab and survive without a scratch. – Lou Lumenick, New York Post, Oct 5, 2012

One of the best movies I seen this year

What drives a cast to such fruitless engagement? The first one was saved by the rapid development of the plot. The meaningless speed of the sequencing, predictability of the plot and superficial Istanbul representation wasn't enough to save the sequel from a third class attempt at a thriller. Istanbul car chase was really unbearable. Almost a70s Turkish movie.

I enjoyed from beginning to end.
