About the Movie

Life is in session in the year's biggest Sundance hit. Social outcast Terri (Jacob Wysocki) is stuck caring for his uncle (Creed Bratton, TV's The Office) and trying to survive high school. He feels disconnected until his wildly unconventional Vice Principal (John C. Reilly, Walk Hard) inspires him to reach out. Now with the help of beautiful misfit Heather (Olivia Crocicchia, TV's Rescue Me), Terri discovers he doesn’t have to fit in to belong.

Terri: A fantastic movie about adolescence

Terri is a fantastic movie. Not only because of the performances, but because of the heartfelt and incredibly touching story. Jacob Wysocki is amazing as Terri, a socially inept, overweight high schooler. Once the vice principal, John C. Reilly, takes an interest in Terri, they start meet every week to talk about what's going on their respective lives. This movie also has a great sense of humor. It's a very realistic, ironic type of humor, that most people should enjoy. Although a note to John C. Reilly fans, he is not in this movie a lot. He has maybe 20-30 minutes of screen time. The rest of the movie focuses on Heather, Terri's love interest, his dysfunctional friend Chad, and his delusional uncle. Terri comes to a brilliant climax that's heart wrenching and very real. So, my recommendation is to go see Terri immediately. You'll definitely be happy you saw this and not Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star.

Wonderful Movie

Watch it; it's one of those gems that slips under the radar that you want to tell everyone about.

I look for movies with high tomato ratings. That's how I buy. This movie sucked. Don't buy it or rent it, it sucked. Another one that sucked with high tomato meter is the Tree of Life. If this is the crap that they are saying is good, I will never go by there recommendations again.
