Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The ABCs of Death is an appallingly bad concoction of disgusting shorts that run through the alphabet but really should've stopped at "A." – Rob Nelson, Variety, Oct 12, 2012

Rotten: What's unexpected is how thoroughly The ABCs of Death's ample duds overshadow its treasures, and how uninspired it feels as a whole. – Mark Holcomb, Village Voice, Feb 19, 2013

Rotten: There are just too many stories to fit into two hours - and even with fewer weak links, The ABCs of Death might have fallen short all the same. – Ian Buckwalter, NPR, Mar 11, 2013

Rotten: Some shorts are four-star material, others incomprehensible and disgusting. The sum total is a cinematic abecedary that barely gets a passing grade. – Ethan Gilsdorf, Boston Globe, Mar 7, 2013

Horrible

I was really excited to see this movie ever since the trailer came out.

But, It. Was. So. Bad.

There were about 4 letters that were actually good.

Save your money!

Not Fun

This movie made me feel like I've lost precious time away from my life.

50/50 on entertainment

Some of this movie was entertaining and some of it was pure garbage. I don't enjoy japanese shock cinema, and if you don't, you should avoid this. It really brought the movie down.
