Plot Summary

A ten year old girl is found brutally murdered outside the small blue-collar city of Rochester, New York, and obsessed police detective Megan Paige (Eliza Dushku of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, DOLLHOUSE) suffers a mental breakdown while trying to solve the crime. But when the child-killings resume two years later, Megan’s return to the investigation also brings back her own horrific hallucinations. Even if she can prove a ‘double initial’ connection to the slayings, will she hang onto her sanity long enough to catch a psychopath? Cary Elwes (SAW), Michael Ironside (STARSHIP TROOPERS), Bill Moseley (THE DEVIL’S REJECTS), Carl Lumbly (ALIAS) and Academy Award® winner Timothy Hutton co-star in this chilling thriller directed by Rob Schmidt and based on the true story of the murders that shocked America.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: It's too bad there was no way around the story's inherent deficit since this effectively unsettling film, directed by Rob Schmidt, chugs along quite well for a while. – Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: [Eliza Dushku's] commitment to the material is worthier than the cheesy ghost effects of decomposing children that the filmmakers felt the need to add. – Joshua Rothkopf, Time Out New York, Jun 24, 2010

good cast, odd film

i wanted to like this film and it had all the necessary elements to be decent (or better) however none of those elements seemed to gel. there were some definitely disturbing parts, and dushku is always a solid performer, but again, the film never seemed to hit its stride. if this were on sale as a movie of the week for $4.99, it might be worth checking out, but otherwise, save your cash and check out something else.

This Film is Very Good

Even though its very loosely based on the real massacre it does do a good job of a Who-dun-it kinda film. The ending is definitely not expected you'll be shocked you will go wow they went there woah THEY REALLY WENT THERE. <- By the way that was me watching one of the ending scenes. Hopefully you'll love and cherish this movie as much as possible.

Good Horror flick.

Great movie. It was alot better than I expected. Great lead actor, good story.
