Fresh: Kent has taste, an eye and a knack for brisk, accelerated pacing. In the case of "The Babadook," familiarity breeds an eerily gratifying contentment. – Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune, Dec 18, 2014

Fresh: At its heart, "The Babadook" is a story of mother and son, whose relationship ultimately determines whether they survive the demon - or die trying. – Thomas Lee, San Francisco Chronicle, Jan 15, 2015

Fresh: Jennifer Kent's startling debut is an artful horror-chiller that gets under your skin and into your psyche. – Rafer Guzman, Newsday, Dec 14, 2014

Fresh: With its mixture of frights both literal and literary, "The Babadook" will, I suspect, satisfy horror's devotees as much as the genre's doubters. – Michael O'Sullivan, Washington Post, Dec 11, 2014

One hell of wonderful story

Everything about this film. Is missing in cinema today. A profoundly great way to express what's hard to express yet also be able to convey ways in dealing with elements of life that are unmanageable. Give it a view.

It was scary, but I would recommend to non-horror fans. It’s deep message can teach us all about our own darkness and how we ultimately always have power over it. This movie left me with a feeling of hope.

2.5 seconds of scary, the rest was blah

The movie started out like we were in for a good show but never lived up to it. Don't waste your money.
