About the Movie

The Bad Batch follows Arlen (Suki Waterhouse) after she's left in a Texas wasteland fenced off from civilization. While trying to navigate the unforgiving landscape, Arlen is captured by a savage band of cannibals led by the mysterious Miami Man (Jason Momoa). With her life on the line she makes her way to The Dream (Keanu Reeves). As she adjusts to life in 'the bad batch' Arlen discovers that being good or bad mostly depends on who's standing next to you.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: It's good, dirty fun. But it also takes exploitation - of bodies, of feeling, of labor - seriously. – A.O. Scott, New York Times, Jun 22, 2017

Rotten: As a politically barbed fantasy, "The Bad Batch" is intriguing but facile; as a bid for cult-classic status, it's strained and self-conscious. – Justin Chang, Los Angeles Times, Jun 22, 2017

Rotten: Amirpour ... delivers this imaginative tale as a simplistic allegory of the haves and the have-nots; she ruefully delights in the wasteland's postindustrial wreckage while leaving characters' thoughts and motives blank. – Richard Brody, New Yorker, Jun 19, 2017

Fresh: In addition to presenting a parable about the collapse of society, Amirpour's film is also a kind of postmodern Adam-and-Eve story. – Michael O'Sullivan, Washington Post, Jun 22, 2017

So boring

I watched the entire movie because I rented it for 6.99$,but almost turned it off, because i couldn't even watch it. I was trying to understand the idea, but I think whoever reated this movie was either high or drunk.

If you're looking to be entertained by a regurgitated hollywood picture, look much further. This is not a movie to watch as you're doing other things. You have to actually watch. Every glance or microexpression is like a line of dialog. I adored it. Very few moments involve characters explicitly laying out their plans or motives. It was beautiful. It left aspects up to the imagination, but if you don’t have one, maybe rent the the new Transformers movie.

Fantastic visual story

Its Mad Max meets Burning Man, a hardcore storyline complemented with beautiful visuals. This one is a must buy.
