About the Movie

More graphically-realistic than ever The Blob has returned in this horrific tale about a vile, malignant life-form that crashes to earth in a cozy, rural American town called Arborville. Untroubled by conscience or intellect, the Blob does only one thing and does it well. It eats anything and everything that moves...men, women, children. And tonight it wants to swallow Arborville whole. The original version of The Blob thrilled and terrified audiences back in the 50's. Now the oozing, gooey killer is back with a new high-tech 80's look. What was once only suggested now comes to life in this visually gut-wrenching thriller in the tradition of such classic remakes as "The Thing" and "The Fly".

The Blob

OK, but a far cry from the original. This was one of the many "re-make" movies from the 80's. It's okay at best but as most re-makes, it can hardly compare to the original which starred Steve McQueen. It's ashame that itunes is investing in movie re-makes such as this, The Fog, The Thing, etc.... They should concentrate more on obtaining the originals.

i love this movie

its the best remake i have ever seen. They are remaking it again i here but it cannot compare to this. They will ruin it with cgi when this movie uses the real thing. The blob is both scary and funny, many good death scenes. This movie is also famous for having a child death scene where they show everything when in many current horror movies children deaths if any are off-screen. A definite must buy. i wish they made a sequal cause they really end this movie leaving the chance of one open.
