About the Movie
From the creators of Coraline and ParaNorman comes a magical family adventure about heroes in all shapes and sizes: the Boxtrolls. Quirky, mischievous and good-hearted, these box-wearing creatures have lovingly raised a human boy named “Eggs” (voiced by Isaac Hempstead Wright) in a charming cavern below the bustling streets of Cheesebridge. But when evil Archibald Snatcher (voiced by Ben Kingsley) decides to capture the lovable misfits, it’s up to Eggs and his feisty young friend Winnie (voiced by Elle Fanning) to save the Boxtrolls. “Also featuring the voice talents of Jared Harris, Nick Frost, Toni Collette and Tracy Morgan, critics are calling The Boxtrolls “A delectable treat!” – Brian Truitt, USA Today.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: In "The Boxtrolls," old-fashioned stop-motion animation is combined with new-style 3-D cinematography to charming effect.
Rotten: The details are impressive: 190 puppets built, 79 sets constructed, 20,000 handmade props, 200 costumes, 26 locations, 56 cameras, 892 lights, 53,000 face parts.... But somehow it still doesn't add up to enough.
Fresh: Like one of its wondrously designed steampunky contraptions, "The Boxtrolls" is a marvelous thing to behold, and watch spin, even if it doesn't go anywhere terribly interesting.
Fresh: Imaginative but very weird, more Monty Python than Walt Disney. Not for all tastes.
I love all 3 FILMS!! My comment on Boxtrolls Lovely, and adoration everywhere!^^
it was funny
i loved it the movie the makers did a god job it is cute i love the boxtrols they are cute
The preview was cute, movie was NOT!
Took my son to see this movie because previews showed cute boxtrolls and beautiful animation. The movie had barely any boxtrolls - the story focused on a creepy guy that became even creepier after eating cheese - and then became even MORE creepy after he started wearing ill-fitting dresses and wigs. Wish this had a better plot and had been more kid-friendly because we had really been looking forward to this movie.
