Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Farmiga's emotional clarity and intensity have an almost cleansing quality -- so pristine, plain and right. This role takes her abilities and her career to a new level. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Because its gaze is so level and so unyielding, it stands as one of the better dramatic films made on this subject (although it's not nearly as fine as Louis Malle's Au Revoir les Enfants, in which the camps remain a distant abstraction). – Ty Burr, Boston Globe, Nov 14, 2008

Rotten: When Bruno makes an effort to set things right, the film goes powerfully wrong. – Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: The result isn't a deep film, but rather a profound one. – Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel, Nov 7, 2011

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

SUCH a good movie! Really portrays the importance of the Holocaust and how we changed it!

Very good movie, highly recommend!

Ya, It's ok

It's good. I find all Holocaust movies to be depressing so. It's heart wrenching but a great way too feel their misery. Only part I would have changed was a longer ending. They stopped short, to me at least.
