Fresh: It's easier to laugh with the movie than take it seriously. – Mike Clark, USA Today, Mar 23, 2001

Rotten: Airless and oddly fatiguing. – Jessica Winter, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: It's undeniable that director-writer Gary Hardwick's The Brothers has a target demographic. But the movie's themes of family, love and friendship are universal. – Anthony Breznican, Associated Press, Jun 24, 2010
