About the Movie

From the producer of Oculus and The Strangers comes The Bye Bye Man. When three college friends stumble upon the horrific origins of the Bye Bye Man, they discover that there is only one way to avoid his curse: don't think it, don't say it. But once the Bye Bye Man gets inside your head, he takes control, making you see and do the most unspeakable acts committed by man. Is there a way to survive his possession? Starring Douglas Smith (Ouija) and Carrie Anne-Moss (The Matrix), see the chilling thriller that critics are calling "a paranormal thrill ride that will echo in your nightmares" (Elizabeth Rayne, Den Of Geek).

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Maybe all will be explained in the sequel. If so, your writer is happy to remain uneducated. – Clark Collis, Entertainment Weekly, Jan 14, 2017

Rotten: There may be worse horror films than The Bye Bye Man this year, but there will be none that shows more contempt for its intended audience. – David Fear, Rolling Stone, Jan 12, 2017

Rotten: The concept is derivative of about a dozen other movies and their sequels. – Peter Keough, Boston Globe, Jan 12, 2017

Rotten: The derivative work doesn't deliver scares so much as a few starts, all while ripping off such genre classics as "Candyman" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street." – Stephanie Merry, Washington Post, Jan 12, 2017
