About the Movie

More than two decades after catapulting to stardom with The Princess Bride, an aging actress (Robin Wright, playing a version of herself) decides to take her final job: preserving her digital likeness for a future Hollywood. Through a deal brokered by her loyal, longtime agent (Harvey Keitel) and the head of Miramount Studios (Danny Huston), her alias will be controlled by the studio, and will star in any film they want with no restrictions. In return, she receives healthy compensation so she can care for her ailing son and her digitized character will stay forever young. Twenty years later, under the creative vision of the studio’s head animator (Jon Hamm), Wright’s digital double rises to immortal stardom. With her contract expiring, she is invited to take part in The Congress convention as she makes her comeback straight into the world of future fantasy cinema.

Wow

Great storyline with an amazing cast. Loved it.

Great Premise. Boring Movie

It starts out so promising, but as soon as it ventures into the second half of the movie, it's snoozeville. I feel like this was just paced poorly - The flow of the movie made it feel overly long. In the hands of another director and/or editor, this movie could be a classic.

The use of classic animation looks fantastic, but it feels like they fell short of creating a futuristic mind-altered lifestyle that's plausible in the world they set up in the first half.

I really wanted to like this movie because I love the art of it, but it just didn't work for me.

SnoozeVille is right

I want my $10.00 back. It got %83 on rotten tomatoes. That's a joke. Don't waste your money. I fell asleep shortly after they started with the animation. First parts okay. Bitter old actress complaining about the industry and parts she passed up and parts she screwed u with her bad choices and attitude.
