About the Movie

Hot on the trail of a renegade Apache warrior, gun-slinging bounty hunter Mortimer passes through an 1849 California gold rush town, where local miners direct him into the mountains to track his prey. While he is gone, the miners unearth a meteor that has landed in their sleepy town. As they crack it open, an explosion releases toxic spores, which quickly infect the entire population, transforming them into blood-thirsty, mutant zombies. Following a ferocious battle, Mortimer triumphantly returns to town with his Indian captive in shackles … only to find them surrounded by a ravenous horde of the undead. Now the two enemies must band together if they are to escape the horrors of The Dead and the Damned!

Lots of fun, great genre mix

If you love zombie movies like I do, this one is a blast. Low budget to be sure, but it looks better than many similar films, and the mix of cowboys and mutants is a fun watch. Recommended.

Low budget but extremely inventive

This iTunes trailer doesn't give the movie justice. This movie isn't campy and it's not a comedy. It possibly the only scary zombie movie I've ever seen. Especially a scene with a blind zombie. It has a slow start and it's super low budget but the last half is pure zombie terror. And it has more action than you might expect from a horror movie. Plenty of nudity and gore too. If you can get passed the low budget feel, this is a very fun movie.

Very low budget, the director must be a 12 years old. Theres a scene where you can see the camera mans shadow. The actors should have gotten some type of weapons training because the shooting scenes are childish. I realize its a movie about zombies but holly crap this is not worth your money.
