Rotten: Clearly, when a cheapie pickup like "Paranormal Activity," which Paramount released a few years ago, turns into franchise gold, there's just no stopping the banality.
Rotten: The Devil Inside's biggest shock arrives when it abruptly ends - just as it hits its stride.
Rotten: From the amateur acting, writing and directing to an ending that is shocking only in its stupidity, The Devil Inside will make you puke for all the wrong reasons.
Rotten: People of the world: If you find some footage, leave it be. You will likely be doing the rest of us a huge favor.
STAY AWAY…STAY FAR AWAY!
"The Devil Inside" is by far one of the worst, most vomit-inducing pieces of cinematic trash I've ever seen in my life. I mean it, I really do. It's as if the director was so unconfident with the script that he just decided to steal material from past horror films in order to create a steaming pile of festering garbage so bad, I wouldn't dare watch it again unless I was given a significantly large amount of money to do so. Honestly, the fact that it was filmed as a pseudo-documentary wouldn't have bothered me so much if it had contained just one ounce of credibility and/or originality. Instead, we get poorly written characters, a bland story, slapdash special effects, horrible suspense tactics and obnoxiously shaky camerawork. But the absolute worst part about this abomination is its abrupt, out-of-nowhere ending. It's a conclusion that's so incredibly lazy, even Uwe Boll himself could come up with a more satisfying resolution. I'm afraid that if I continue to rant about this god-awful movie, my head will spontaneously combust, so I'll just leave you with this one last piece of advice: don't purchase "The Devil Inside" unless you actually wanna feel dead inside.
NO JUST NO!
This movie has terrible acting, not scary and that ending many. When I saw this in theaters people booed when it ended!

Another ridiculous "found footage" horror story that works too hard to look like a documentary. Starts off slow and plodding and gradually builds to it's climax, which isn't all that climactic. The uber shakey footage is a HUGE distraction from what is happening on the screen. Some mildly frightening moments and decent acting from the two priests are the only pluses. Meh! is my overall opinion.
