About the Movie

Florida lawyer Kevin Lomax (Reeves--The Matrix films) brilliantly defends his guilty clients. Handpicked by John Milton (Pacino--Scent of a Woman, The Godfather films), the most powerful and feared attorney in New York, Kevin leaves his Southern roots, joining an exotic world of luxury cars, unlimited expense accounts and penthouse apartments. But his heavenly new career soon turns into hell as Milton's lure of limitless wealth, sex and fame spins out of control. As the line between fantasy and reality blurs, Kevin no longer sees his employer as just a smooth-talking businessman, but as someone much more ominous. Now, Trapped in an underworld of depravity and greed, can Kevin stop a demonic plan to spread evil well beyond the courtroom?

Pacino is the man!

Al Pacino by far plays the best incarnation of Lucifer I have seen on screen (I liked DeNiro in Angel heart as well, but not as much as Pacino). Keanu isnt even enough to kill the intensity of this movie, his accent is horribly forced, but he actually puts in a decent performance. Charlize Theron is an utter goddess who looks good in anything she does and is great as Keanu's wife. I could watch her slice bread and be delighted. One of my all-time favorites!

5 stars

i don't usually like drama, but this movie is one of my favorites.

Pacino Hot as Hell

Despite some of the casting (say what you will about keanu) Al Pacino takes this gutterball and tosses a strike. Keanu delivers a fair performance. Great directing, storyline, and script. This is one movie I've watched over and over and not at all for a second glance at Connie Nielsen in the nude, though she is stunning.
