About the Movie
Brennan walked away from music, trading in his guitar for a cheap suit and a soul crushing 9-5 job. He finds an opportunity to rediscover his old self when he runs into the beautifully complicated Nora, the same girl who had previously inspired and destroyed him. Now, for one weekend, Brennan and Nora rediscover the passion and attraction that drew them together as well as a past that threatens to destroy them all over again.
Great Film For Everyone!
I was fortunate enough to attend the World Premiere of The Dust Storm back in October of 2015 at the Twin Cities Film Festival in Minneapolis, and I've been looking forward to seeing it again ever since. As a fan of Colin O'Donoghue, I walked into the theater because of him, but walked out a fan of the film and the entire cast and crew as well. The performances by everyone in The Dust Storm are charming, hilarious, and absolutely brilliant, especially Kristen Gutoskie, who brings a depth to her character that rounds out the entire film. Additionally, the attention to detail and score, combined of local musicians and original music, brings Nashville to life in a very real way, making The Dust Storm a must see for anyone who loves music, film, or has experienced the loss of the one person you really love.
Saw it in Nashville
I saw The Dust Storm at a couple of festivals, my favorite being the 2016 Nashville Film Festival. It was great to see the film where the story took place and where the movie was filmed. The Dust Storm story is engrossing and well written. The movies soundtrack is exceptional. The film features a group of very talented actors. The movie will be a giant career stepping stone for Kristen Gutoskie who plays Nora. She stole the show. It is great to see Colin O'Donoghue playing guitar and singing in this movie. I highly recommend this movie.
This movie is such an emotional, intense roller coaster ride pretty much right from the get go. The acting from Colin and Kristen is fantastic - you really can feel what both of their characters are going through. The music (both the songs performed by Colin and Kristen, as well as all the rest) really sets the tone and brings the whole thing together. Such a wonderful experience watching this movie. Definitely recommend it!
