Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: There's a justifiable self-loathing running through The Emoji Movie, a fragile attempt to (sigh) deconstruct the meaning of Emojis while also (sigh) demonstrating the profound possibility that Emojis are the language of the future.
Rotten: The film is boldly bad, yes, but also boldly boring.
Rotten: Hear that? It's the end of the world.
Rotten: At its best, this seems like a second-rate version of Pixar's Inside Out. At its worst, it's a cash-grab based on a cynical high-level concept.
Don't waste your money on this trash.
Stupidest concept idea ever
Yes this movie is awful what did you expect
The Emoji Movie
I never thought I could hate a movie and its studio more than the Emoji Movie and Sony. The acting is subpar-at best, the jokes are almost Laughably bad, which is an oxymoron, because I never laughed once. The story is cliche' with no interesting twist and turns. Also go buy JUST DANCE NOW ON THE APP STORE...was that annoying? Because you're...gonna get it...more than seven times. Way better movies have done what they tried doing: Wreck-It-Ralph and Inside Out. I want my time and money back because this movie is a Trainwreck, which is also odd, cause at least THAT movie was funny and had awesome acting despite Amy Schumer. Stay away, stay far away from this movie. Don't watch it, don't ever watch it...It's actually humorous, I thought there was hope for Sony, but now...I want them to fail. I WANT THEM TO FAIL HARD!!!
