In 1967, and just 28 years old, Malcolm Bricklin founded Subaru of America, establishing himself as a maverick entrepreneur with an unquenchable determination to change the world. He helped introduce Japanese automobiles to the United States and made a fortune doing so. Now, at the age of 65, when most people are hanging up their hats and cashing in their social security checks, Malcolm has decided to reassemble his posse of former automobile executives and set out on a world-wide adventure to find the last big business deal of his life. What he discovers, when he's least expecting it, is a deal bigger than he had ever imagined, a deal that will define his career, fulfill his wildest dreams, and change the automobile industry forever, and make him a lot of money, if he can just pull off the impossible!
The scene with the shirt off has to be the ultimate in corporate transparency...something Chinese businessmen and women should practice much more extensively.
The auto industry needs more Malcolm Bricklins...
The movie is a great story, well-presented --- and a strong lesson for would-be entrepreneurs who think China is the financial "promised land"!
If you have a dream, you must see this film!
A remarkable portrait of an epic entrepreneur. Inspiring and hilarious at the same time.
This man is a total force of nature and I loved getting to see the ins and outs of how he operates. A master class in business.
