About the Movie
Robin Williams, Jeff Bridges, Amanda Plummer and Mercedes Ruehl star in Terry Gilliam's must-see comic masterpiece. Williams is Parry, a homeless history professor who lives in a fantasy world full of castles, Red Knights and damsels in distress. Bridges co-stars as Jack, New York's #1 shock deejay, whose off-hand arrogance triggers a tragedy which ruins his career. Penniless and without prospects, Jack finds himself plucked from disaster by the most improbable of saviors... Parry. And so the amazing story of the Fisher King unfolds a modern quest for redemption and the Holy Grail, filled with humor, heartbreak and ravishing romance.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: For every wild ride through Manhattan by an imaginary Red Knight trailing billows of flame, there is a small, comic encounter in a more down-to-earth mode.
Fresh: So what if it's not perfect? It's magic.
Fresh: The Fisher King has two actors at the top of their form, and a compelling, well-directed and well-produced story.
Rotten: The Fisher King is a disorganized, rambling and eccentric movie that contains some moments of truth, some moments of humor, and many moments of digression.
My actual rating is 4 1/2 stars, but I do not have the option
For a reasonable price, I would buy this movie in any format to watch at any time
I bought it to hear the song “I love NY in June” by Harry Nilsson, which only came at the end, but I loved seeing Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges together. I thought it was a really entertaining movie. Can’t wait to watch it again.
