About the Movie
From the producer of Bridesmaids and the director of Forgetting Sarah Marshall comes an irreverent comedy about an engaged couple who keep getting tripped up on their long walk down the aisle. Tom (Jason Segel) and Violet (Emily Blunt) seem destined to live happily ever after, but as one hysterical delay follows another, everyone starts to wonder: can they survive the engagement? Co-starring Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Rhys Ifans, Kevin Hart and Mindy Kaling, The Five-Year Engagement Unrated is filled with more fun, more laughs and more outrageous footage not seen in theaters.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: [It] feels poignant and real in a way few raunch comedies are.
Fresh: An exemplary modern romantic comedy, personal and symbolic, goofy and substantial, tightly imagined yet loosely strung, wise in bewilderment.
Fresh: Like Apatow's "Funny People," the film is an intentional hybrid: half gag comedy, half open-ended exploration of everything that can go wrong -- and occasionally right -- between two people whom nature, if not society, means to be together.
Rotten: Some of the comedic material provokes laughter and some doesn't, but nearly all of it feels wrong. It's as if the jokes have been shoehorned into the movie because it was deemed too dramatic.
Really long and boring. The ending was the best part. That's why I gave it two stars instead of one.
The movie was a great romantic comedy that most people of our generation can relate too. It was rather long, some parts did drag on a little bit but over all it kept me entertained and I really wanted to see the outcome at the end of the story. I would add this to my movie collection and watch it a few more times, especially with my significant other instead of by myself next time. I'd say rent it before you buy it because you definitely need a sense of humor for this one.
Parts were funny but in the end...
I didn't care what happened to the couple. With 20 minutes left, I couldn't keep my eyes open so I paused the movie and went to sleep. When I woke up, I forgot I had the movie on hold. Ended up fast forwarding through the last bit...and even rolled my eyes during that!
