Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: A gross-your-eyes-out horror movie that is also the year's most poignant romance. – Richard Corliss, TIME Magazine, Oct 18, 2011

Fresh: David Cronenberg's remake of the 1958 horror classic The Fly is not for the squeamish. Casting Jeff Goldblum was a good choice as he brings a quirky, common touch to the spacey scientist role. – Variety Staff, Variety, May 27, 2011

Fresh: What makes The Fly such a stunning piece of obsessive film making is the way Cronenberg deftly allows us to identify with his monstrous creation. – Patrick Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Oct 14, 2014

Fresh: As slimy and as grotesque as some of its special effects become, The Fly is a far superior horror film to the top-grossing film in America of late, Aliens. – Gene Siskel, Chicago Tribune, Aug 4, 2013

Ugh! I still remember the first time I watched this movie, it's still uncomfortable to watch it! Great horror movie but it still scares the hell out me and my friends. All in all a well recommended movie to scare someone and make them have nightmares!

Unsettling and Exciting

A total gross out-from pukes to when his ear falls off- it's disturbing but I couldn't bring myself from watching the end.
Watch if you dare!

Great movie.

Do they still make movies like this's horror is always about some crazy white boy or circle who's befriending demons in some Victorian home that has been around since the dawn of time. And no on one else can c this then someone who is good at things like this is called in and tells their parents your shield is possessed. What I hate about this new demon possessed kids horror flicks these days is cause since there are kids in it usually there's no blood and no one ever dies in the movie because there's are kids in the movie. No originality anymore either that or a remake of some sort. Jason is the batman if horror flicks. They still believe in him to scare and bring in big bucks. This is a great movie, the why the hell can't part 2 and 3 be rented and only part one of this movie, that's bs.
