About the Movie

Two rival gangs feud for control of rural wasteland Frazier Park ('The FP') in the deadly arena of competitive dance-fight video game "Beat-Beat Revelation." After hometown hero BTRO is slain on the dance platform by thug leader L Dubba E, his protégé younger brother JTRO (Jason Trost) goes into isolation, vowing never to duel again. One year later, The FP is in ruins, and JTRO must find the courage to return and restore order in a ruthless battle for revenge that can only leave one man dancing. From the producers of Paranormal Activity and featuring narration by James Remar (The Warriors), The FP is a fury of fierce footwork, triumphant montages and neon street wear that Moviefone calls "a rare ready-made cult hit."

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: It falls all over itself to lampoon its midnight-movie forebears even as it borrows their contrivances. – Andy Webster, New York Times, Mar 15, 2012

Rotten: "The FP" so desperately wants to be cultishly admired for its bad-taste rollout of wacko characters, ugly costumes and vulgar slang that it forgets to be genuinely offbeat or funny. – Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times, Mar 16, 2012

Fresh: You need to find a room full of people who get the joke and see this movie there, because audiences will be laughing so hard they'll be screaming. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Mar 15, 2012

Fresh: "The FP" works best as an operatic parody of mixed genres with lunacy on the fringes. – Tom Keogh, Seattle Times, Mar 15, 2012

It's cheesy, it's over the top, it's FUN

This movie is not the one to get if you're looking for something serious. This is a movie for people who feel like shutting their brain off and enjoying a very over-the-top, loving satire of '80s action movies. The plot revolves around two gangs who battle using Beat-Beat Revelation (sound familiar?) They call these battles "Beat-Offs". This, along with white people using the N-word, are about what you can expect.

It's going to divide people, hell, it already has. But if you're into cheesy '80s satire with straight-faced acting and a ridiculous premise, this is the film for you.

Don't miss this gem

What makes this movie epic is how serious the characters are about themselves , this movie doesn't copy any other comedies it's an original , the best part is watching white kids talk ghetto and an underground tour torment for dance dance revolution is to dam funny , you either love it or hate it but if you like movies that make fun of them selves , like dodgeball this movie is for you
