Fresh: So unpretentious that it could be accused of lacking style or vigor, writer-director Marya Cohn's maturely conceived, Kickstarter-budgeted debut swaps genders on the more traditionally male-driven story of a stunted coming-of-age. – Aaron Hillis, Village Voice, Dec 8, 2015

Whats all the hype about?

Honestly, I think that most of the 5-star reviews on here are from Vancamp fans. The high ratings would not be explainable otherwise. It’s an okay movie, but for me too much of the plot felt too generic. The story itself and the story-telling were mediocre. There was no emotional depth in the characters and as a male, it was particularly difficult for me to relate to the main protagonist Alice. Overall, the movie just does not live up to the ratings.

Worth the watch

great film. Vancamp was great in the film. Would watch again.

Outstanding film

I loved this film. The characters were so well developed. The dialogue made me feel like I was right in the room with them. The writing is beautiful, and poignant.
