Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Grand isn't good enough a word for this Budapest Hotel. Great is more like it. – Richard Corliss, TIME Magazine, Jan 2, 2015

Fresh: Anderson's films are too precious for some, but for those of us willing to lose ourselves in them, they're a delight. "The Grand Budapest Hotel" is no different, except that he has added a hint of gravitas to the mix, improving the recipe. – Bill Goodykoontz, Arizona Republic, Jan 2, 2015

Fresh: "The Grand Budapest Hotel" is not his grandest work yet, but it is one worth an extended stay. – Kate Erbland, Film.com, Jan 2, 2015

Fresh: The mannered, madcap proceedings are often delightful, occasionally silly, and here and there, gruesome and/or heartbreaking. – Matthew Lickona, San Diego Reader, Jan 2, 2015

Love!!

Definitely one of my new favourites. I never watch the same movie twice but I'll be making an exception here for sure. It's the kind of movie that really is inline with my sense of humour! Here I go to watch it once more. Weeee!!!

NOt for RENT?

Is this movie ever going to go for rent??? how can I give it a review if its NOT for rent? After it won all those awards I was surprised it wasnt. I wont buy something if I dont like it.

An amazing feat of cinematography!

This movie was hilarious, witty, beautiful, and SMART. Any rating you read otherwise just means the viewer was too dim to understand the dry, comedic hilarity. Ralph Fiennes was an absolute gem; his M. Gustave H. is my new all-time favorite character. I’ve watched this movie over and over and it gets funnier every single time!
