Based on a chilling true story, The Haunting In Connecticut charts one family's terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover. Now, unspeakable terror awaits when Jonah, the boy who communicated with the dead, returns to unleash a new kind of horror on the innocent and unsuspecting family.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Gives you the creeps, the giggles and the groans in almost equal measure.
Rotten: Madsen barely emotes during the ensuing flood of hokey scare tactics.
Rotten: What started out reasonably scary, if derivative, just drags on and becomes silly.
Rotten: Haunting suffers for its need to be sold as a straight-up horror film, and the fact it has been seemingly retrofitted as such.
One of THE BEST HORROR FILMS OF ALLTIME!
:yikes: I have not heard of this movie before and thought nothing of it. I didn't think would be scared. Boy was I wrong! WARNING: DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE ALONE BY YOURSELF IN MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT IN THE DARK! or DO but at your own risk! After doing so I was so scared I almost pissed my pants! I tried going to bed afterwards, and was really tired nearly nodding off, but then I kept seeing things and hearing things that I could not sleep unless I had some lights on. GREATEST SCARY MOVIE SINCE THE EXCORCIST! Even more frightening is that this is based on a true story! I give it 5 out of 5 stars!
Five Stars Fo Sho!

When I saw that this movie was PG-13 I thought that it would be terrible, but it is one of the best movies I have ever seen. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and I loved it.
