About the Movie

Melissa McCarthy and Oscar Winner Sandra Bullock team up in this outrageously funny comedy from the director of Bridesmaids, Paul Feig. Uptight FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Bullock) and foul-mouthed Boston cop Shannon Mullins (McCarthy) couldn't be more incompatible. But when they join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected...buddies.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: There are only two reasons to see The Heat. But they are formidable reasons, and they go by the names of Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Jul 8, 2013

Rotten: There's an edgy but rewarding chemistry between Bullock and McCarthy that makes me wish they were attached to a less foul-tasting premise. – Andrew O'Hehir,, Jun 28, 2013

Fresh: Laughter can be magical. It can also be crass. In the formidable person of Melissa McCarthy it is typically both. And no director seems to know what to do with that tension quite like Paul Feig. – Lisa Kennedy, Denver Post, Jun 28, 2013

Fresh: McCarthy's an actress who needs a foil, and for now Bullock is more than good enough. I just wish these two had found each other 10 years ago. – Wesley Morris, Grantland, Jan 6, 2014

A movie you wanna watch again as soon as it ends. Don't hesitate

The Heat was was better than I expected

I thought this movie would be somewhat funny, but this movie had me laughing out loud on so many occasions. If you don't mind cussing and crass humor, you'll enjoy it.
