About the Movie

Martin David (Willem Dafoe), a skilled and focused mercenary, is sent into the Tasmanian wilderness on a hunt for a tiger believed to be extinct. Hired by an anonymous company that wants the tiger’s genetic material, Martin arrives in Tasmania posing as a scientist. He proceeds to set up base camp at a broken-down farmhouse, where he stays with a family whose father has gone missing. Usually a loner, Martin becomes increasingly close to the family. However, as his attachment to the family grows, he is led down a path of unforeseen dangers, complicating his deadly mission.

Authentic and Magical

Love this film, it never tries to be something it's not. It a wonderful roller coaster ride of intrigue and suspense with touches of heart and emotive substance. Magical film. Landscapes and music are sublime. Dafoe is sensational! 5 stars! Can't wait to see it at the cinema.

Very good !!

Very good movie and Dafoe gives one of his best performances.

Ever seen a thylacine?

Willem Dafoe hunts high & low for one in some beautiful country in Tasmania. It's a quest that changes him. I thought it was a modest film with good intentions. I enjoyed it.
