Rotten: You don't need a heart to like this movie. You need an MBA. – Wesley Morris, Grantland, Jan 6, 2014

Rotten: Similar to Eddie Murphy's hard right turn from daring and profane comedy to family-friendly romps, Vaughn and Wilson have gone all soft and gooey here. – Christy Lemire, ChristyLemire.com, Aug 8, 2013

Rotten: A by-the-numbers bromantic comedy that is essentially a feature-length advert for Google, The Internship uses the weapons-grade charm of Wilson and Vaughn to spout a corporate message. – Michael Leader, Film4, Jul 31, 2013

The Internship Amuses

I'm a younger nerd thing with friends who played Quiddich in college, friends who work in the tech industry, and friends who have scary encyclopedic knowledge of things like the X-Men. On the nerd culture front, I felt like they nailed it. Some of the humor wasn't exactly my style - a little too slap-stick - but the movie had a good heart, and it made me laugh. A lot. Dylan O'Brien and Josh Brenern keep the screen pretty, and there's a strip club scene for the boys, so eye candy for everyone abounds.

Great movie!

To be honest I wasn't expecting much from this movie….other than the fact that I like Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson and figured it would be good for a few laughs. Long story short, I think it's one of the better movies they have ever done. Absolutely give it a shot and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. It's one of my favorite comedies in a long time…...

wha??

What did I just watch? One long stupid commercial for Google.
