Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: I don't expect The Judge to usher in a new era of legal thrillers, but I'm happy to see Downey leave the Marvel universe and Baker Street behind.
Rotten: An overstuffed, overlong slog of a legal drama. Director David Dobkin coats every cliche with cheap theatrics. Go ahead, see The Judge just for Downey and Duvall. But to cite another recent dud, this is where I leave you.
Fresh: There are a number of fine reasons to see the courtroom-meets-family melodrama The Judge. As you might suspect, two stand out: actors Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr.
Rotten: A blue-chip cast struggles with an unwieldy script in The Judge, a hybrid comedy, family-reconciliation story and legal drama.
This is one of the best movies I have seen in years. The movie relies on the actors to tell the story. It does not have car chases, and “blow up “ scenes, This move simply tells a story. We don’t get many movies like this any longer. The actors tell the story, and this is some great acting. Duvall and Downey Jr. work well together. I wish Hollywood would make more movies like this. Just buy the movie, sit back, relax, and enjoy.

47% is a joke! It's not perfect, but this movie was very funny, touching and thought provoking. It's one of Robert Downey Jr's best performances.
Best Film * Worth the Wath
Why would it get 47%? Because they are all idiots. This is a good film. Saw it in theatres and downloaded it to keep so the rest of the family can enjoy. Watch it, laugh & smile & I dare you not to have any regrets in your own life while watching.
