Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Unfortunately, no one involved seems to have bent over backwards to make the movie either original or even all that scary. – Clark Collis, Entertainment Weekly, Mar 1, 2013

Rotten: Creepy atmospherics don't compensate for the lack of genuine scares in this unimpressive follow-up. – Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, Mar 1, 2013

Rotten: When the creators of The Last Exorcism Part II swapped pseudo-verite realism for psychological realism, they made it a lot harder to take their franchise seriously ... – Simon Abrams, Village Voice, Mar 6, 2013

Rotten: Once the "what is real, what is fantasy" questions are answered, and exorcism part deux commences, The Last Exorcism Part II abandons its half-intelligent, tender exploration of Nell's vulnerability and desirability. – Ethan Gilsdorf, Boston Globe, Mar 6, 2013

Good movie for Part 2

This is a good movie. It has a twist put on it from the first one. Different in ways that it plays out. Check it out.

The worst sequel I have ever seen, not even mentioning that the first was a huge disappointment. I actually laughed more than I could count, there is nothing redeemable about this movie save for Ashley Bell's acting, which is always top notch. The black supporting cast seems to have been picked straight off the street, they were so bad! A horrible, horrible waste of time.
