Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Wholesome, eager entertainment that doesn't talk down.
Rotten: The movie grows muddled with too many tedious segments involving adults.
Rotten: The film is clearly well-meaning but hampered by the heavy-handed direction of Robert Shaye and egregious use of James Horner's score, constantly cuing the warming of the heart.
Fresh: A good-looking, relatively ambitious movie that respects and enhances [sci-fi writer] Kuttner's vision.
I liked it!!
Aww. You guys are so mean. Most of the people who comment on this page are not kids so what would you guys even know. I may not be a kid but I sure understand them plenty because I am a kid inside. I thought, for a KID'S movie, it was very nice. And I loved the characters. Maybe it won't be interesting for people who find science and school a total bore, but for my 9-year-old sister and my 6-year-old brother, who finds the series Charmed interesting, they loved it and found it not confusing at all.
I definitley reccomend it!
This movie is amazing. it's just... it left me speechless. not a stupid kid's film. worth watching. trust me.
This was an amazing movie. It was not kiddish at all. I loved the plot line and the originality it held. It was a bit bizzare, but that's what made it great! Good acting, the girl who played Emma was phenomonal. Very good overall, highly recommended for anyone 8 and up.
