Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Transcends mere torture porn -- though there's plenty for the squeamish to squirm over here -- in its deftly controlled mix of empathy, grotesquerie and sardonic humor. – Dennis Harvey, Variety, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: All the performances are good. – Margaret Pomeranz, At the Movies (Australia), Oct 14, 2014

Fresh: Sean Byrne endows his rote slasher material with the kind of blackly comic wit and levity that virtually guarantee its entry into the contemporary midnight-movie canon. – Calum Marsh, Slant Magazine, May 31, 2012

Fresh: Edible roadkill, Frontal lobotomies, teenage psychopaths and Kasey Chambers music....Precisely what every school dance should feature, right? A surprising, fast, stylised Aussie torture porn. – Marc Fennell, Triple J, Nov 10, 2010

AWESOME

Movies this RAW and entrancing come around rarely. From start to finish my mouth hung open. Absolutely loved it and I would recommend it to anyone!

Loved It.

This is one of those rare horror/thriller films that pulls you right in, and never lets go. So intense.

Eerily good

I wanted more crazy, more blood so I got the unrated version. Definitely not over the top like American horror. The repetition of the song Am I Not Pretty Enough as well as the back and forth between the girls abusing him as well as his friend in a nice juxtaposition.

Both of these guys want it but on their terms. When it gets to be too much, it's no longer fun anymore. I guess now they know how women feel all the time.

The frontal lobe was awesome! That's all I'm gonna say.
