Rotten: A delectably bad '80s-style actioner. – Gregory Kirschling, Entertainment Weekly, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: The Marine will trigger a strong sense of deja vu for anyone who recalls the slapdash, slam-bang action fare that was standard-issue drive-in fodder during the 1970s. – Joe Leydon, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: An unrepentant B-movie, The Marine features the sort of bare-bones plot that would in previous years have served as a vehicle for the likes of Charles Bronson. – Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The Marine proves a poor showcase for the homeboy charisma Cena shows week in and out with the WWE. – Wesley Morris, Boston Globe, Nov 24, 2011

Customer Reviews

for the fans of john cena

this is a pretty good movie, a lot of action, car chases, fights, and exploding things, but otherwise, seems entertaining. Cena does a good job of playing his role in this movie and i think there seems to be some wrestling moves added into the movie if you pay attention. i recommend you buy it if you're into the whole action/exploding things.
