Great insight into the podcasting world!
Explore the wonderful world of podcasting !
I was lucky enough to see the pre screening and this is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen. We are all passionate about something. This film explores a wide range of personalities and interests but they all found a common bond, podcasting ! I knew about podcasting but had no idea about the positive and supportive community that exists among this diverse group of people. Let's hope this is the new face of media, where interested, enthusiastic experts in their field, share information that you want to hear anytime any where with a narrative driven by knowledge not a big corporate advertising budget. Mass media talks to the collective "you". I like podcasts because I feel like they are talking to me and are genuinely interested to hear feedback from their listeners. This movie gives you some insight into the mind of podcasters, how they feel about their listeners and communities. You will love it !
DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE -- Unless...
I saw this movie at Podfest 2017, as a speaker for the event, but not as a podcaster. I was on the outside looking into this vibrant and growing community of people with stories, events, and life messages to share -- from all walks of life and across industries, markets, cultures, and lifestyles.
After the screening, I realized that I, too, have a message worth sharing. Now, 8 weeks into my podcast, I've realized an audience of international listeners from all over the country and five other countries.
This documentary is fantastic! If you like documentaries watch this. If you have a story to tell, there is an audience that is looking for it. They're actively seeking you out, but they have no idea you exist. They want your message and they're waiting for you to share it.
If you're not a podcaster yet, you either will become one, or you will soon know one. This movement is sweeping through our society at an unprecedented rate. And this documentary shares the stories of who, what, and how podcasts come to be.
Who knows -- maybe yours is next...
