Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: There's a word for this vulgar family-therapy movie: retarded.
Rotten: A neatly wrapped made-for-TV homily!
Rotten: Never manages more than a glib, TV movie-of- the-week glance at their lives.
Rotten: Shameless in its use of mental retardation as a gimmick, a prop and a plot device.
oh my god
This movie is so funny , I had to turn it off a few times so i could catch my breath.
Great Movie...one to watch over and over again!
When I first saw this movie I knew it would enter "My Favorites." Seeing Juliette Lewis taking on this role was really amazing. To see her as this character says a lot about her as an actor... saying that she is really talented and can take on any role. If you haven't seen this movie yet... you have to see it.
A real Jewel-ette of a movie
This movie sits in my collection usually reserved for Epics and Blockbusters. A jewel that gets in your heart and will make you laugh. I to have a "Other Sister" and I can relate fully to the desire people with disabilities have to be included in love, independence & equality. Juliette Lewis shows dynamic range in her abilities and is a fantastic actress. I can watch it over and over again.
