Acerca de la película

After nearly two decades caught under the wing of an aging husband (Alan Arkin), devoted mother and housewife Pippa Lee (Robin Wright) undergoes a midlife breakthrough. Unearthing the sexually curious wild child of her teens (as portrayed by Blake Lively), Pippa sparks a relationship with a kindred soul (Keanu Reeves). Robin Wright delivers a stunning and revelatory performance in Pippa Lee; a wry, moving, and complex portrait of the many lives behind a single name.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Pippa should be a career changer. Wright Penn's cards are finally on the table, and it looks like a full house. – Mary F. Pols, TIME Magazine, 24 jun, 2010

Fresh: Wright gives the title character a complexity and emotional shading often missing in this kind of ensemble comedy/drama. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, 24 jun, 2010

Rotten: Pippa's crisis of guilt -- about troubled lives she couldn't fix and parts of her personality she rashly abandoned -- is ultimately swamped by Miller's own sketchy grasp of what's funny or heartbreaking or illuminating about her characters. – Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times, 24 jun, 2010

Fresh: As a woman under the influence of everyone but herself, Pippa often feels lost when she's on her own - a blank slate with no one holding a chalk - Robin Wright Penn allows us to get to know a character who still doesn't really know herself. – Ian Buckwalter, NPR, 19 jul, 2010

I loved this movie. if you've lived it, it'll make so much sense to you. It says so much about what its like to live life as someone else' s image, living in regret and never being free or allowed to be yourself. Especially for women, I thought it was fun, and powerful. I would watch it again in a heartbeat.

Great one time viewing

It's one of those films you'd only watch once, not because it was not worth the time spent viewing it. Quite the contrary, it was so real that watching twice would be like reliving your day to dat life again. Well done- - A real movie minus the Hollywood hype.

Hard to sit through

Dark, moody, whiney movie. Hard to really get excited about any of the characters. Keanu is good looking and that helps a little, but it's all kind of dull, no real growth of the Pippa character. She doesn't have many lives just one lengthy directionless depression. Only the father had some zest for life and desire to work.
